Cindy and Ian’s dark red kitchen and living areas were straight out of an early ’90’s home magazine but their tastes had advanced towards a bright and clean Scandinavian style. It was time to bring their home up to speed! Focusing on large expanses of glass and the Laurel forest that surrounds them, we set out to create an outside-in experience. Using hand-formed clay island lighting and backsplash tile, parquet-like ceramic flooring, sophisticated, modern patterns, and a newly-faced fireplace, we created a light and fresh new kitchen to create in, a welcoming breakfast nook for morning coffee, and cozy sitting and dining rooms for curling up or gathering. The outside and inside are now in natural harmony.
