This fun little project had an interesting challenge: to turn a closet, the end of a hallway, and a dark guest bath into spa-like primary bath for this Ivoryton couple, who lived in a detail-laden Victorian at the top of a hill, but leaned more toward modern in personal taste. Our solution involved changing the point of entry to accommodate built-in storage which also shielded the toilet from key sight-lines, and adding a double bowl vanity, expanding a window, and designing a large walk-in shower at the end of the space, all with nods to the era, but with the aesthetic and appointments rooted squarely in the 21st century. Keeping the colors light and bright, the space has become a happy spot.
